The section "Innovative Environmental Management" was organized in 2008 by the Higher School of Innovative Business of Moscow State University. Traditionally, it included three subsections:

1. Innovative environmental management. Geology.
2. Innovative environmental management. Chemistry.
3. Innovative environmental management. Natural resource management.

In 2024, in honor of the 270th anniversary of Moscow  University, the Section  Innovative environmental management with the participation of the M.S.Gutseriev Institute of Oil and Gas of the Udmurt State University jrganized the fourth subsection:
4. Innovative environmental management. RussNeft – from theory to practice.
